How do I book The KD Dance Orchestra?

Line-up options?

We offer a 7 piece swing/jazz band, a sensational 9 piece soul band and a bespoke 9 musician swing to soul set.

How much does it cost to hire the band?
Prices vary depending on the type of event, the location and the day of the week and the time of year.
For how long will the band play?
A usual evening is 2 x 60 minutes or an equivalent playing time that suits your event, we're very flexible!
Do we have to provide PA/sound?
We will provide our own high quality sound system and lighting.
Do the band have public liability insurance?
The band have full PL Insurance. We also have our equipment PAT tested each year and hold a PAT test certificate.
When will the band arrive and set up/sound check?
This will depend on the nature of the event. For example, a party with guests arriving at 7pm the band will arrive approximately 5.30pm to load the equipment into the venue, set up and sound check. Arrangements for weddings will be discussed with the client so the band can arrive and set up as discretely as possible at a suitable break in proceedings. We're very experienced at this! An early set up can be agreed for a nominal charge.
What happens in the bands breaks?
We can provide background music via ipod through our PA, prior, during our break and for 30 minutes after the conclusion of our performance.
Will I have to provide a meal for the band?
This depends on the distance and time of the event. Some functions, e.g. Weddings, require us to be present from early evening to late at night, therefore we would ask that a hot main meal be provided for the band. We do require soft drinks to be provided.
Can we choose certain songs to be performed
We have a very comprehensive list of songs we play but we will always try to accommodate special requests. For songs not in our repertoire we can, at a very reasonable cost get an arrangement specifically done.
If the band is playing at my wedding, can I choose a song for the first dance?
Yes, we do have a number of songs in our repertoire that are appropriate. Or we are happy to play the original version through our sound system. It's the most important tune of the night!
